Federal and Quebec Investor Immigration Class

 

To qualify, for the FIIP and QIIP, investors were required to meet the following four criteria:

(a) The investor must have business management experience, as defined by the Canadian Government for at least 2 out of the last 5 years;

(b) Must have at least C$1,600,000 in legally obtained net worth globally (including assets ofspouse);

(c) Successfully complete a medical and security evaluation;

(d) An investment of C$800,000 must be made with the Canadian Government for a period of five  years at no (0%) interest. After the 5 years, the   investment will be returned to the investor.

 

Note:

  • Federal Investor Immigration Program has been stopped since 2012. There is no timeline yet when it will re-open.

  •  

  • Quebec Investor program are still opening for applications. The next openning date for new applications will be Sep. 2014. It has a quota of 5000 applications globally.

 

BC省提名投资移民

BC Provincial Nomination Program

BC Provincial Nominee Economic Programs represent a partnership between the BC Provincial Government and the Federal Government to attract entrepreneurs who wish to invest (starting at $200,000 or $400,000 depending on the region), establish and actively participate in a business in B.C to create significant economic benefits to the province. Applicants can quickly obtain a work permit and move to Canada, while working on their permanent residence application.

 

Qualifying criteria for the BC PNP program:

 

Regional Business

  • Personal Net WorthMust have at least CAD$400,000 in legally obtained global net worth

  • InvestmentCAD$200,000CAD

  • in BC outside of the Metropolitan Vancouver and Metropolitan Abbotsford areas

  • Create at least 1 new job in the business

  • Principal applicant and his/her direct familyPrincipal applicant and his/her direct family.

  • Must pass a medical and security evaluation

  • All applicants are required to own at least one third (33 1/3%) equity of the proposed business and provide active and ongoing participation in the day-to-day management and direction of the business in British Columbia

 

Business Skills

  • Must have at least CAD$800,000 in legally obtained global net worth

  • Invest $400,000 in a business;

  • Location can be anywhere in BC

  • Job at least 3 new jobs in the business

  •  Application also includes one foreign Key Staff and their Immediate Family. This key staff is not required to meet the same financial requirements as the main applicant.
